My Ultimate Baby Registry

When I was pregnant I thought I made the ultimate baby registry with all of the essentials. But after that baby came, I quickly learned I didn’t have half of what I needed. We were making constant target trips every night for something we did not register for.

Today, I’m sharing my ultimate baby registry guide: a list of my tried-and-true favorites that I personally used, loved, and would recommend to any new mom. Everything on here you will use!

Plus, I’m including a few toddler must-haves that no one really warns you about. (Trust me, while everyone’s feeling generous, it’s the perfect time to add some of these to your registry.) I have excluded clothing because everyone always buys a ton for your baby shower. I hope this baby registry feels like advice from a friend who’s been there — because that’s exactly what it is.

1. Nursing

The waist strap is essential for a good hookup.

The hospital will give you a cream but this is even better!

You want the neck strap! I cant tell you how often milk spills when it detaches.

Take these to the hospital, you will need them right away,

Even if you don’t pump, you will need to store let-down milk.

Nothing is more powerful than a wall pump.

This allows you freedom on the go.

Get this nursing cover for ease while learning!

Get at least two of these!

I would suggest at least 3 boxes.

These are the smallest and quietest!

2. Postpartum

This is essential for holding in all the “stuff” you will be putting on.

Hospital will give you some, but you will want more!

The hospital one sucks! This is better.

the hospital will give you some, but you will want more!

You want the biggest pads possible!

3. Sleep

They will be sleeping in this for a while so get one you like the look of!

This was more secure than a traditional swaddle and much easier.

You never know what your baby will like, so I suggest registering for multiple.

You will still need traditional swaddles for going out and travel.

This allows baby to sleep on their side safely. Helps with spitup.

You will use this all of the time for fussy baby.

Lots of great features for sound and light training.

We SWORE by this thing as baby started to break out of swaddles.

We still use this today for toddler that now sleeps on his belly!

I love the breathable material so no worries about suffocation!

I love that this converts to a toddler bed later on & was easy to build.

We use this every night and use the 12 hour timer feature!

This is the best monitor! Very in depth.

I would suggest 3 sets of crib sheets!

I would suggest 2-3 sets of bassinet sheets!

4. Bath Time

This bath is so amazing and I still use the kit.

This is very gentle and is both shampoo and body wash!

We registered for 4 of these towels.

You will want of these as you learn what their water should feel like.

When baby starts sitting up on their own you will need this!

5. Feedings

I suggest 8-10 bottles total, you use so many every day!

We used this every day and night for first couple months!

Get a couple sets like this so it all matches!

Sippy cups are an essential in the toddler days!

We used this to soothe teething pain with breast milk and later on frozen puree.

This high chair is aesthetic and easy to clean!

I suggest a system like this so you can make your baby different recipes of puree.

You will want a good puree storage system.

Toddlers will love these! They are an essential every time you leave the house.

You will be replacing these often, so register for a couple.

6. Baby Gear

The uppa baby is worth the hype in my opinion.

This was all we used in those early days.

I love this car seat. It is safe, and easy to put in anyone’s car.

For travel or versatility around the house!

As soon as baby starts to sit up this will be your best friend.

Get a baby carrier you can put on without help from someone.

You need this trust me. there are cheaper options out there too.

This is a cheaper option of the original. We literally traveled with this thing!

I love that all I have to do is wipe this down. No laundry for me!

For those early infant days where all you want to do is cuddle.

I have this bag and love it.

Those shopping carts are dirty!

We use this more than our stroller now!

These get expensive so register for them now!

The night light is great for seeing baby in the dark

7. Health & Cold

Every day do a couple drops on the pacifier!

We still use this every time baby is sick.

I wish I had this, the adult one is hard to use on a squirmy baby.

I also wish i had this, i’ve clipped babies skin too many times.

We have used this every day!

Baby loves this brush and the toothpaste.

I love the versatility of the 3-in-1 feature. Options are best!

You will use this for comforting sick baby all day and night.

On days where teething is really rough or they have a fever.

I cannot tell you how often we used this on nights where baby was fussy!

We started giving this around 6 months

Just have it on hand and ready for that first cold.

These are great to have on hand wherever you go!

When baby is sick and nothing is making them feel better, sometimes a vapor bath helps.

It hurts their noses when you’re constantly wiping snot, this will help!

8. Storage

Organize socks, hats, bibs, burb cloths so it’s not one big messy drawer.

The separation make’s it so much easier on you for laundry days

I like this set because it comes with clips for pants!

I registered for two of these! One in my car, and one for downstairs.

You need a place to toss all those toys and stuffed animals.

Make sure you buy a dresser wide enough for your changing pad

This keeps bathtub and toys clean of mold and clutter!

Shelves double as organization and cute decor!

The closets get confusing with all the sizes!

Great for drying pump and bottle parts!

9. Miscellaneous Necessities

We loved frigg pacifiers from day 1! we still buy them.

Getting a customized name clip helps daycare not lose pacifiers.

Attach this to your diaper bag or stroller.

Formula containers or a MUST! Enough said.

We pack this every time we travel out of town.

10. Infant Toys

This is the only way to get ready in the morning.

My baby lived on this toy for 6 months and still plays with it!

This is so fun for tummy time and sensory development.

Babies love black and white high contrast pictures!

Wrap this on your carseat handle for play on the go!

11. Teething Toys

Babies have a hard time with grip and the bar made it so simple to hold.

I can’t tell you why, but babies love this thing.

Freeze these and give them to baby on day’s teething really sucks.

We were obsessed with this because of the vibration.

This doubles as an activity toy and a teether.

12. Toddler Toys

This is 10 activities in one. We travel with just this toy sometimes.

Great puzzle for learning cause and effect.

This toy keeps them entertained forever!

These will grow with your baby!

Easy to figure out and great for car rides.

I hope this was helpful as you begin to build your own baby registry. This is one of the most fun and special parts of pregnancy as you dream about meeting your little one.
